This is a vintage Clem travelling iron in its original box, manufactured by Clayton, Lewis & Miller Ltd. in London, England. It was produced in the 1940s to 1960s. The small size was designed for travelers who could not afford a maid or valet. These irons often plugged into a light socket as many 1950s homes had few wall sockets.
